New Airlines Launch Paddington Self-Service Check-In
Heathrow Express has today announced several new airlines are to offer customer self-service check-in facilities at London’s Paddington Station.
The new carriers to offer the service for customers flying from Heathrow Airport are Air Canada, American Airlines, Kenya Airlines, KLM and Lufthansa.
Together they join Delta Airlines, Finnair Iberia, and United Airlines in offering the state-of-the-art facilities, the first of their kind at a UK train station.
In addition to the three easy-to-use touch-screen machines on the Paddington concourse, flight information display screens have been introduced showing the day’s Heathrow flights, terminals and departure times.
The new service will allow customers travelling to Heathrow Airport to check-in, select their seats and print their boarding passes, while also avoiding any queues at the airport itself.
In addition to the check-in and seat selection services available, customers can also take advantage of their airline’s designated bag-drop if they hold luggage.
The Heathrow Express is the fastest rail link from central London to Heathrow Airport, with trains reaching the terminal in 15 minutes every 15 minutes.
More airlines are set to make the Paddington self-service check-in available to customers soon.
