Emirates to Expand its Dubai A380 Services

Emirates is set to expand the services it offers passengers by introducing a second A380 service from London to Dubai from 01 July this year.

The introduction of a second Airbus A380 on the Heathrow-Dubai route will allow Emirates passengers to travel, for the first time, from London to Sydney and Auckland and return onboard the new superjumbo.

A spokesperson for Emirates said London was one of the key airports for the A380 launch and that the airline had a "long term commitment to double-up on the double-decker" on the UK route.

The comments suggest Heathrow will be served by two Emirates A380s for some time, taking the airline’s overall A380 fleet to eight aircraft serving eight routes.

The Emirates 517-seat A380 configuration features 14 First Class suites, plus a lounge and shower spa, 76 full-flat Business beds and 427 Economy seats.
